Wild garden at Christ Church

A new wildlife area has been created in the heart of Wanstead as part of the beautiful Christ Church gardens.

Tucked in the section of the garden behind the church hall, a fabulous bug hotel has been built from recycled materials and several bird boxes installed.

In spring 2019, local gardeners donated nearly 200 pollinator-friendly plants for the wild area, including foxgloves, anemones, hardy geraniums, hebe, forget-me-nots and lungwort.
